AJ scenario (64.173.11.234)
I'm surprised no one brought this issue up yet. If you don't know by now, go to Anime News Network. This will be one big fiasco.

We know the golden rule of fan subs by now. If a series gets picked up by a company, you must buy the real deal. Enough said.

AJ crossed the line. That was uncalled for and now because of this, people will now say that fan subbers have a bad rep. Profanity won't get you anywhere. It'll just create more enemies for you.

As for UV, well, I don't have much to say about them. What if they shot the first bullet? What if that request letter isn't as polite as it claims to be?

Oh yeah. This will really be a big fiasco. No doubt.

Since we're still on the subject of ANN, while it is a place I do go to for news and such, I have to agree that a good amount of the reviews there are that bad. Okay. I'm done giving comments for now.

Re: AJ scenario (66.214.176.168)
I heard a lot of bad rumors about Anime Junks, but I used to think that they were a hard working fansubbing group, just targeting quantity over quality. But after reading this, I realized that they're a group with moral problems than an issue about fansubbing and the law. Whatever the first letter might have been, you just don't write a reply like that or fansub Ninja Scroll TV that has been licensed already in the first place.

I hate to see if people start to think all fansubbers are like this. I respect the fansubbers equally as much as the legal DVD companies.(except for AJ now) They spend a lot of their personal time and effort on something they won't get paid for...

Yeah. I know what you mean. Well, all that we can do now is move on.
