Thought I should start a thread. This place looks a little...too fresh.
Anyways, in the old forums we talked about getting the games discussed in here on the Internet (downloaded, therefore illegal).
Is that still a permissible topic here? If so, what are the links to them? I know one, but it is pretty much dead...-_-*

If and when I get my old cd's out I will be able to post a japanese or chinese game online and I will only change the game once it has been reviewed by someone. I'm going to start working on finding my old cd's somewhere cause I know they are somewhere. Also I will not post any games which have been reviews already.

Which channel? You know that I am under firewall and cannot connect directly with other people.
Darn I want to play AIR...with some admin's permission, I would like to post a place where you can get Kanon (All ages version, ´Ý©À).
Nymph: What old CD's? Do they include AIR?

In my opinion, posts about downloading games should be restricted. I think its allowable for demos and rare vintage games, but it's going too far when you see a game like Kanon... Besides, "Where can I download xxx" posts are so annoying!

Kanon & AIR are worth getting the original! I mean they are like one of the best bishojo games ever. Lots of online shops carries it.

I can check to see if they are on the cds... I have a lot of old games since I used to be a courries for AVN/SKL/KLN which released asian games in the scene...

I think i'd go for Elf games, especially the Doukyusei series and Kakyusei..heard they're gonna release Kakyusei2 
oh, and F&C's Dousokai series is not bad too..

I never liked Tokimemo...
School girls are ok, but my favorite genre is the fantasy RPG types. Like ELF's Dragon Knight 4 and WordsWorth... My recommendation this year is LEAF's "Utawarerumono"!

Hmm interesting. I'll take a look at that title.
However, I was never interested in RPG/Fanatasy/Romance games. Maybe because I simply hate fantasy stuff. Oddly, I liked martial arts games. Even "Hin Yuan Jian" series. Maybe 'cause I'm Chinese and I'm obsessed with my culture?
Anyways, I like "pure"(no perverted/hentai stuff) romance. "With You ~Mitsumeteitai", "Kanon", "Tokimeki Memorial" are the games I tried that FIT into this catagory (I own all of the games above).
You can really say that I'm a cool person with 19th century standards for finding a girl ^^|

Think I will just the discussion...
I have played a lot of games over the past few years and I would say I am interested in and played most games by Alicesoft, Elf, Illusion, Cherrysoft, Zone, Studio e.go and etc. Although, the quality of game play from Zone and Studio e.go! have been going down recently. By far, Alicesoft and Elf have produced some of the most addictive games for me.

The best game studio I've met (In the JP game industry)--Konami ($$ Maker), and Key Studios(Bad point: SLOW in making new series)

I heard you can find these games over at irc... on w/c server and what channel?!? i have a couple of the originasl myself... the ones i cant find is the ones that are small and easy to get... but hard to find... i'm a big fighting game fan... can someone pls. give me a link where i can DL VG max, or is there somebody who is kind enough to send it to me?! I'm not really against downloading games as long as you buy it after trying it if you think it's worth it. Some games simply isn't worth my money so like heck I'm going to buy them first.
anyone have kimon youitan by cherrysoft? or one from tactics? or moon from tactics?

ONE...good choice, but I don't have it (^^)...
If you're really interested in the STORY, I suggest you look for ONE essays and discussions (Japanese, HARD) and also a book by Murakami Haruki (NOTE: Japanese name order).
"Hard-boiled Wonderland and the End of the World" is the English title. The philosophy book that ONE was based on...good book.
