xp dos errors (68.214.5.190)
Hey all. I just got found a cd of mine with all my old H games. Too bad times have changed and I'm using XP now. Supposedly it shouldn't be a problem running dos games on xp- and it isn't. but, after some research i've found out that some of the popular JAST games (Season of Sakura, Runaway City, 3 Sisters etc.) are in no way compatible. JAST say's you can play these games by making image boot disks for them. Whatever that means. Any ideas on how to make these game boot disks? Thanks.

That mean you have to make dos boot disk from dos/win9x os to boot and run games.
another way is use emulater like conectix virtual pc to emulate another dos to use on windows xp if you don`t want to lose windows function while playing games.

Alright. I have the game's working. But no sound. Is there a way to activate the sound drivers using the boot disk? If not, what is this Virtual PC and where could I get it. Thanks in advance.

hey Hiro, although i sent you a message already, it was written for an XP user.. But I think Win2k Pro works the same way. Give it a try. Should still be able to format the disk by going to My Computer, right clicking and selecting format on the floppy. It should still give you the "Create a MS-Dos Boot Disk" option.

Scout around and seeking for PC that use win9x to format flobby disk. Win2k didn`t have option to make system disk anymore.
after you got boot disk then you have to install sound card driver if your sound card didn`t use isa slot (In that case set plug and play OS in bios to no is enough). Get installation disk form your sound card or mainboard if your sound card is on board. Then install those dos driver.
