Name: Raidy 2 (Thunder Fighter Raidy 2) (54.14% in 87 votes)
Type: RPG
Platform: WINDOWS
Company: ZYX
Release date: 1995
Reviewed by: Helmut

The main figure of this game, RAIDY, is a girl fighter who uses thunder attack. She travels and reaches a town where a group of thives kidnap girls. She determines to help villager by defeating the thives. Thus she looks into their headquarters (an old mansion) and fights against them.

As she has knocked down the head of thives, she finds out that another force lurks behind them, so her adventure continues. It is connected with conflict of some cults. I can't talk about the ending because I was not able to clear this game.

Gameplay : Its frame resembles that of the game Rance 4 (Heritage Of Cults - Toshin Toshi in the sky) in the concept "repetitive sleep and adventure in some dungeons", but is much simpler than that. I've classified this game as a RPG according to the self-explanation of the help file, but it's not a usual RPG. First it contains AVG elements, and secondly combats in it are simpler than those of usual ones. That is, you fight alone with just one enemy at a combat whom you encounter on the way, so there is no deployment of characters. When you walk in mansion or dungeon, you are put in 3D mode. There you move by clicking arrow icons.

Graphic : Girls are pretty but CGs' quality is out of date. Whenever Raidy wins a fight, the enemy's dress is stripped off in part. Many H scenes are about les rape of enemy over victims, or of Raidy over enemy.

Sound : BGM at start is tender and pleasant to hear (demo music #1), but next ones are a little coarse. You see, you can get a midi copy of them from your temp folder when you are playing game. You can hear sound effects such as whip, sword and voice of character in CD.

I'm not fluent in English and Japanese, so please excuse and correct me if there's any error in this review. (March 4. 1999)
